Year 1 Teacher with subject lead

- Subject lead: Ideally, the school would like you to lead Maths
We are seeking a dedicated Year 1 Teacher to join a supportive and vibrant school in Leyland. This temporary position is to commence in September 2024. The role offers a daily rate reflective of your experience and provides an opportunity to make a significant impact on the early stages of our students' education.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Plan, prepare and deliver engaging and informative lessons that adhere to the national curriculum.
- Assess and record students' progress, preparing them for key assessments.
- Create a positive learning environment that promotes student well-being and encourages a love for learning.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to the school community.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student progress and development.
- Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet the needs and interests of the students.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Experience teaching in Key Stage 1, particularly Year 1.
- Strong understanding of the national curriculum and assessment requirements.
- Excellent classroom management skills.
- Ability to create an inclusive learning environment.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- A commitment to professional development and continuous learning.
