We are seeking an Accounts Payable Assistant to join our finance team on a 3-month temporary basis. The role involves processing a high volume of invoices daily and offers the flexibility of hybrid working. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with experience in accounts payable functions who are looking for a dynamic work environment. There is the opportunity to apply for the permanent position.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Review and process supplier invoices and credit notes to ensure timely payments within contractual terms.
- Analyse purchase orders to resolve quantity variances and streamline the payment process.
- Resolve payment discrepancies with internal budget holders and update suppliers on payment issues.
- Process staff expense claims and company P-card payments according to internal policies.
- Maintain accurate supplier accounts and reconcile them regularly.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience in invoice/data processing within an Accounts Payable function.
- Good working knowledge of computerised systems, including spreadsheets (preferably Excel) and word processing (preferably Word).
- Excellent verbal and telecommunication skills.
