Are you an experienced finance professional with a passion for the education sector? Our prestigious client, Worksop College and Ranby House, is seeking a talented Head of Finance to join their team and help drive their financial strategy forward. This is a permanent, full-time position based primarily in Worksop.

About the Role:

As the Head of Finance, you will be responsible for providing strategic financial guidance to the Head of School, Bursar, and Board of Governors. Your main focus will be on financial management, including cash flow, budgeting, and risk management. You will lead and manage a team of finance professionals, ensuring the smooth running of the finance function.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic guidance and advice on all financial matters to the senior leadership team
  • Develop and implement effective financial policies and procedures
  • Manage the budgeting and forecasting process, and prepare monthly management accounts
  • Oversee payroll and administer the school's pension schemes
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and legislation
  • Liaise with external auditors and professional advisors
  • Manage the School's insurance policies and procurement processes

About You:

  • Proven experience in a senior finance role, ideally within the education sector
  • Strong leadership and project management skills
  • Excellent financial analysis and reporting abilities
  • Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance
  • Proficient in using financial management software
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
