We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Head of Technologywith a solid technical / engineering background, experience in developing and commercialising new technologies, and a proven ability to lead a highly technical multi-disciplinary team.
Working as the Head of Technology you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the Company's technology development and driving their passion for innovation.
As the Head of Technology you will work alongside the Director of Engineering and will help define and execute the company's technology strategy, also taking full ownership for managing the company's IOT Cloud Solutions Team and the IT infrastructure and support team.
With almost 200 employees and offices and factories located in the UK, USA, and Malaysia, this role is international in nature. The position is based in Bury, North Manchester office and offers a flexible working environment with a mix of home and office work, with the expectation to be on-site in Bury for at least 3 days per week

DUTIES
Your duties as a Head of Technology will include:
- Define and lead the company's technology strategy to drive innovation and support business growth
- Collaborate closely with senior leadership to ensure alignment and support for the technology vision
- Develop and manage a technology roadmap aligned with the company's strategic objectives, and ensure it is integrated with the company's future products and services
- Maintain, improve and develop the Company's IOT products and services
- Lead, mentor, and develop the team of IoT software engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement
- Oversee the company's IT infrastructure, focusing on scalability, efficiency, data protection, and cybersecurity
- Lead, mentor, and develop the Company's team of IT professionals, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement
- Ensure all technology operations comply with regulatory standards and best practices
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
- Strong hands-on technical background with expertise cloud services and/or IOT/App development, software development and IT
- Experience of working in product development alongside electronics, software, and mechanical engineers
- Proven track record of developing new or advanced technologies within a growing industrial manufacturing business
- Strategic thinker and decision-maker with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- A team player, with demonstrated experience in leading and coaching teams, setting clear objectives, and driving performance
- Passionate, innovative, and ambitious, always seeking opportunities to improve
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
- Experience with ISO 27001 standards would be very useful
