Site Manager

Salary: £45,000-£55,000 depending on experience.

Location: Essex, Herts and East London

Our client is seeking an experienced Site Manager to join their team and help lead their projects, initially for a project they have in Essex. Reporting to the Contracts Manager, the successful candidate will manage the delivery of the project. You will ideally have experience working for a drylining, interiors or fit-out company. You will help ensure work is delivered safely on time, within budget, and to the highest quality. You will be working on projects across Essex, Herts, and East London.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Champion the highest health, safety, and environmental management standards throughout the project's lifecycle.
  • Establish a culture of uncompromising quality by setting and maintaining rigorous standards.
  • Oversee the delivery of a superior build that aligns with project specifications and requirements.
  • Utilize strong communication skills to manage diverse teams.
  • Develop and refine project schedules, orchestrating operations to achieve timely project delivery.
  • Ensure smooth project handover, guaranteeing defect-free and snag-free completion.
  • Leverage excellent communication skills to foster collaboration, facilitate clear directives, and address challenges effectively.
  • Organization and management of trades and labour and monitoring site progress and program.
  • Help with the management of commercial and financial aspects of the job.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Previous experience in a site supervisor or management role is essential.
  • Experience in dry lining and interiors is useful but not essential.
  • Experience working with Tier 1 contractors.
  • Proven aptitude in overseeing day-to-day project management.
  • Valid CSCS card.
  • SMSTS
  • First Aid at Work certificate.
  • Valid driving license.
  • A Construction Management Degree or HNC in Building Studies would be beneficial but not essential.
  • Must be an excellent and proactive communicator, willing to manage projects from start to completion.
