Test/Lead Manager required for a leading client based in Birmingham. My client is currently seeking a hands on Test Lead to come on board to become an integral part of our dynamic Solution Delivery team. This role is pivotal in offering comprehensive test analysis, design, and execution for both technological advancements and business transformation initiatives. The Test Manager will play a key role in driving the successful delivery of strategic projects and programs. Moreover, they will extend their expertise to support the broader Solution Delivery team, offering guidance on testing best practices, processes, and execution.

  • Strong Microsoft expertise
  • Previous Azure DevOps experience
  • Crafting the test strategy, policies, and objectives while staying updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies pertinent to testing within the Professional Services domain and quality assurance. Incorporating relevant advancements into testing practices to ensure optimal performance.
  • Defining and prioritizing testing activities based on project requirements, timelines, and risks in collaboration with Project Managers. Ensuring comprehensive coverage of both functional and non-functional aspects.
  • Supervising the design, development, and execution of test cases and scripts to validate software functionality, performance, security, and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Leading test resources, offering guidance, support, and mentorship to foster efficient and effective testing practices.
  • Managing defect tracking, triage, and resolution processes. Collaborating closely with Project and Engineering teams to address issues and maintain high-quality outputs.
  • Assisting Project Managers in planning and executing testing activities to facilitate the creation of necessary documentation for the IT Service team's post-project support.
  • Clearly articulating the testing approach and process to stakeholders.
  • Reviewing test execution as part of lessons learned activities to refine testing processes, tools, and techniques, enhancing efficiency, effectiveness, and scalability across projects.
  • Serving as a liaison between business stakeholders, IT team members, third parties, clients, and other relevant parties to support the delivery of IT solutions for the business.
  • Communicating effectively with various stakeholders using language appropriate to their understanding.
  • Ensuring awareness of and adherence to the company's policies and procedures.
