You will be formulating the Enterprise technical roadmaps for assigned domains and assuring implementation of technical solutions. You will be critical to operational technologies that support the safe, reliable transmission of gas supply to our 5.9 million customers.

I help to keep people safe and warm by...

  • Provisioning technical roadmaps, designs support and guidance for the implementation, upgrade, management and decommissioning of IT and OT infrastructure assets
  • Inputting to standards development, referencing architectures and technical strategies
  • Working with and guiding product/project managers and solutions designers to guide solution designs, ensuring they align with our Enterprise guardrails and technical roadmaps
  • Supporting the wider business, ensuring key technical dependencies are understood and accounted for, necessary exceptions are governed and technical debt is managed

What you'll need

  • Proven experience with the design and implementation of end-to-end infrastructure solutions in an Enterprise context
  • You have designed and implemented end-user technologies, preferably across Windows modern managed devices, Microsoft 365 and non-windows (Android/iOS)
  • Familiarity with the design and implementation of connectivity solutions (SDWAN, NextGen Firewalls, IPVPN) and working with cloud identity management solutions (Okta)
  • Working knowledge of could hosting technologies (AWS preferred) and integration with SaaS services
  • Knowledge of cyber security and operational monitoring technologies (Qualys, Logic Monitor, Nagios, Splunk, Microsoft Defender, Sentinel)
  • Awareness of architectural frameworks and processes (TOGAF) and experience using and maintaining architectural tools and repositories (Orbus)
  • You are an effective communicator, able to work with technical and non-technical colleagues at various levels
  • You are comfortable supporting and hosting discussions across a multidisciplinary team, able to understand and implement appropriate technical governance
  • You are an outside the box thinker, with an awareness for opportunities and innovation with new technologies
