The Role
Position: Teacher of MFL (French and Spanish)
Start Date: November 2024 or January 2025
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: MPS/UPS (dependent on experience)We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated MFL teacher to join our successful Languages department. The ideal candidate will be able to teach both French and Spanish to GCSE level and inspire a love of languages in our students.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and challenging French and Spanish lessons to students aged 11-16 (potentially to 18)
- Plan and prepare high-quality lessons that cater to diverse learning needs
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing regular feedback
- Contribute to the development of curriculum materials and teaching resources
- Participate in extracurricular activities and school events
The Ideal Candidate
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Proven track record of teaching French and Spanish at secondary level - applications from both ECTs or more experienced colleagues are both welcomed
- Strong subject knowledge and passion for language education
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills
- Commitment to ongoing professional development
