Logistics Coordinator

We are looking for a Logistics Coordinator to join our client, a global logistics company that can offer an excellent opportunity to fashion a long term career.. The successful candidate will be part of a dedicated team, ensuring the smooth operation of our import and export processes.
Day to Day of the role:
- Manage all aspects of customs clearance entries for imports and exports across various modes of transport including Sea, Air, and Road.
- Submit customs clearance declarations accurately and within required timeframes.
- Create and maintain job files for Import LCL, FCL, and Air shipments using the Multi Freight System.
- Oversee bookings to guarantee timely shipments, coordinating with overseas agents and internal departments as necessary.
- Track shipment ETAs, informing customers of any changes and adjusting plans accordingly.
- Liaise with carriers to secure release of goods and facilitate timely collection by hauliers.
- Directly coordinate with customers to schedule and adjust delivery bookings.
- Monitor deliveries to ensure timely collection from quays, communicating with hauliers and providing updates to customers on any issues.
- Handle invoicing, duty and VAT collection for non-credit customers, and provide international quotes for sister agents.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience in logistics, customs, or a related field.
- Familiarity with customs procedures, tariff classifications, and import/export regulations.
- Proficient in using logistics software systems such as MultiFreight, Destin8, and Chief.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of effectively liaising with various stakeholders.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Windows-based applications and other standard industry software.
