Learning Support Assistant

We are seeking passionate individuals for the role of Learning Support Assistant (LSA) in our local schools. This role is perfect for those who have a heart for aiding students with learning disabilities or special needs and are looking for a rewarding and challenging career in education.
Day to day of the role:
- Preparing the classroom for lessons and assisting with the creation of learning materials.
- Supporting children with reading and storytelling, fostering a love for literature.
- Providing targeted support to students who require additional help to complete tasks.
- Collaborating with teachers to plan educational activities and maintain records.
- Assisting with classroom management and behaviour.
- Supervising group activities and ensuring a safe learning environment.
- Offering comfort and care to children in distress or after accidents.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Patience and a commitment to building relationships with children.
- Empathetic nature with an understanding of students' individual needs.
- Experience as a general teaching assistant is preferred.
- Effective behaviour management skills.
- Ability to establish good working relationships with pupils and adults.
- A degree in education or a related field is advantageous but not essential.
