Senior Java Developer - Kubernetes/SpringBoot/Market Risk sought by leading investment bank based in London.
**Inside IR35 - 3 days a week onsite**
Key experience and profile attributes:
- Proven experience in developing enterprise level applications for container platforms, such as the public cloud Kubernetes services in Amazon Web Services / Google Cloud, or on-premises platform such as RedHat OpenShift.
- Expert Java programming skills, minimum 5 years' experience in industry
- Subject Matter Expert (SME) in microservice architecture and container technologies such as Docker, Podman and Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with the Spring and SpringBoot frameworks.
- Investment banking / market risk computation experience would be an advantage.
- Experience with designing and implementing RESTful services would be an advantage.
- In-depth experience in using messaging middleware such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, Solace is highly desirable.
- Working knowledge in SQL and noSQL databases is desirable.
- Understanding of agile software development approach and experience in using developer tools such as Github, Bitbucket, JIRA, Artifactory and Jenkins.
- Good level of devops skills in tools such as bash scripting and helm.
- In-depth experience in analysing application metrics using observability tools such as Splunk, Elasticsearch and Grafana would be an advantage.
- Be flexible and agile to fast evolving technology and business demands and changing priorities.
- Demonstrated leadership and project management skills.
- Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience.
- Master's degree in an engineering or science subject preferred.
