Shift: Monday to Thursday, 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM; Friday, 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM
Salary: £30,420 - £32,265 DOE
About the Role: Metalis are currently working with a leading aerospace company who are currently seeking a Skilled Fabricator to join their team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating both electric and hydraulic tube bending machines and will be adept at working with various metallic tubes, including stainless steel, titanium, Inconel, and aluminium. The role involves bending tubes ranging from ¼" to 6" in diameter, ensuring all work meets high-quality standards and customer specifications. Additional responsibilities include tube preparation, ultrasonic cleaning, and manual/automatic tube cutting and preparation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and set up electric and hydraulic tube bending machines.
- Work with various metals including stainless steel, titanium, Inconel, and aluminium.
- Bend tubes to specified diameters ranging from ¼" to 6".
- Perform tube preparation and ultrasonic cleaning.
- Conduct manual and automatic tube cutting and preparation.
- Ensure all work meets customer specifications and high-quality standards.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and blueprints.
- Maintain a clean and organised work space.
Skills:
- Good manual dexterity and ability to work effectively with hand tools.
- Basic computer literacy.
- Proficient in English with good verbal and written communication skills.
- Basic math skills, particularly in working with tight tolerances.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and blueprints.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Experience:
- Previous experience in tube bending, particularly with electric and hydraulic machines.
- Familiarity with working on various metallic tubes.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Demonstrated ability to meet strict quality standards.
