Attega Group is currently partnering with an independent Lift Engineering company based in Staffordshire.

The main purpose of this role is to perform service, maintenance, repair, breakdowns or fault finding to my client's range of Passenger Lifts.

In return, our client is offering a salary circa £40 +, based on a 42.5-hour week, along with a company vehicle and overtime opportunities and Door 2 Door paid travel.

Reporting to the Depot Manager your responsibilities will include:

  • Perform routine maintenance and servicing of lift systems to ensure they operate efficiently and safely.
  • Conduct inspections and tests on lift components and systems to identify potential issues and wear and tear.
  • Diagnose and repair faults in lift systems, including mechanical, electrical, and electronic components.
  • Replace or repair defective parts and components to restore proper function.
  • Implement upgrades and modernization projects to improve the performance and safety of existing lift systems.
  • Install new technology and features to meet current standards and customer requirements.
  • Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with health and safety regulations and industry standards.
  • Conduct risk assessments and follow safety procedures to prevent accidents and injuries.
  • Communicate effectively with clients to explain technical issues, provide recommendations, and update them on work progress.
  • Deliver high-quality customer service to maintain and enhance client relationships.
  • Maintain accurate records of all work performed, including maintenance logs, service reports, and repair documentation.
  • Report on completed work and any ongoing issues to supervisors and management.
  • Travel to various job sites, including commercial and residential properties, to perform maintenance and repair tasks.
  • Manage time and schedule efficiently to cover multiple locations and meet service demands.
  • Stay updated on the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices.
  • Participate in training programs and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Respond promptly to emergency breakdowns and provide quick, effective solutions to minimize downtime.
  • Be available for on-call duties to address urgent issues outside of regular working hours.

The ideal candidate:

NVQ Level 3 in Lift Engineering or an equivalent qualification.

Proven experience in maintenance, repair, and servicing of lift systems, preferably in both commercial and residential settings.

Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and electronic components of lift systems.

Technical Proficiency: Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills to effectively identify and repair lift faults.

Attention to Detail: Meticulous in conducting inspections, maintenance, and documenting work performed.

Customer Service: Strong communication skills to interact effectively with clients, providing clear explanations and excellent service.

Safety Awareness: Thorough understanding of health and safety regulations and the ability to conduct risk assessments and follow safety procedures.

Reliability: Dependable and responsible, with a strong work ethic and commitment to quality.

Adaptability: Flexible and able to manage multiple tasks and changing priorities efficiently.

Self-Motivated: Proactive in identifying maintenance needs and taking initiative to resolve issues.

Mobility: Willingness to travel to various job sites, with a valid driver's license.

Availability: Willing to be on-call for emergency repairs and available to work outside regular hours when necessary.

Tools and Equipment: Familiarity with and ability to use a variety of tools and diagnostic equipment specific to lift maintenance and repair.
