Design Manager (Interior Fit-Out)
12 month Fixed Term Contract / On-going Temporary
We are recruiting for an experienced Design Manager to join our client, a super prime residential developer, for a development in West London.
As a qualified Architect you could now work practice or client side but must have experience working on large scale (15 units+) central London, prime residential developments.
The focus of the role will be to support the Senior Design Manager with eh delivery of the interior fit out on the scheme, including the residential units and the shared amenity areas.
Your key responsibilities;
- Ensure guidelines of the project brief are met in terms of quality, time and budget
- Act as custodian of the design at all stages
- Liaise with external consultants and architects to manage the production of high quality designs.
- Review, critique and enhance design proposals
- Communicate and work effectively with internal departments (operations, marketing, sales, finance and commercial) to ensure the design and delivery is in accordance with company requirements
- Check quality of execution at site stages - ensuring the delivery meets expectations.
Your experience:
- Experience of delivering and knowledge of high end fit out residential developments with particular focus on stages 4-5
- Excellent knowledge of design detailing and specification, current legislation and design standards
- Understanding of design deliverables, production information and project programmes
- Proficient in Revit and Adobe Suite
- Focussed, organised with outstanding client facing skills
- Someone who can communicate clearly, effectively and confidently with consultants and contractors.
- Someone who is able to challenge and problem solve.
