This is a great opportunity for an experienced analyst ready to take their career to the next level. As a key member of a lively, fast-paced senior leadership team, you'll play a central role in supporting the finance team with top-notch analysis and insights. You'll be building and maintaining financial models, digging deep into business and financial data, and providing accurate, timely reports to help steer major decisions.
Whats involved?
Financial Reporting & Analysis - Analyse financial statements, key metrics, and trends to provide insights into the company's financial health and areas for improvement. Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for leadership, detailing performance and variances from forecasts.
Budgeting & Forecasting - Assist in the preparation of annual budgets, long-term forecasts, and quarterly updates. Develop financial models for various business scenarios and evaluate the financial impact of potential projects or investments.
Financial Modeling - Build and maintain detailed financial models to support forecasting, budgeting, and strategic decision-making processes. Analyse investment opportunities, mergers, and acquisitions by building pro-forma models and conducting scenario analyses.
Strategic Analysis & Decision Support - Provide data-driven insights to support strategic initiatives and business decisions.
Work closely with cross-functional teams to evaluate the financial viability of new initiatives and provide recommendations.
Variance Analysis - Analyse monthly financial performance versus budget and forecast, identifying key drivers of variances. Work with departments to understand and resolve budget and forecast discrepancies, providing actionable insights for adjustments.
Process Improvement - Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation within financial reporting and analysis functions. Collaborate with IT and other departments to enhance financial systems and streamline processes.
Risk Management - Conduct financial risk assessments and identify areas where the company may face financial exposure. Develop strategies and mitigation plans to address financial risks.
Compliance & Governance - Ensure compliance with financial policies, regulations, and reporting standards.
Support audits by preparing documentation and collaborating with auditors as needed.
Whats needed?
- ACCA or CIMA qualification
- 3+ years in a similar role
