Randstad Sourceright, a leading provider of RPO & MSP Recruitment Services are currently recruiting for a Management Accountant on behalf of a global company in the Tech industry. This role is initially for 3-6 Months and a potential to go Permanent.
The successful Management Accountant will join a team of 6 Management Accountants, reporting into 2 Managers . The role will consist of full costing and budgeting, and liaising with other Project Accountants and Managers. Consolidation of forecasts, weekly, monthly and annual reporting alongside ad hoc reporting. You will also be responsible for a cost center within a Support function.
Responsibilities of the Management Accountant:
Financial Reporting and Analysis:
- Preparing detailed financial reports, budgets, and forecasts.
- Analyzing financial performance and variances from budgets and forecasts.
- Providing insights and recommendations based on financial data analysis.
- Month End Reporting ( along with Weekly, Monthly, Yearly and adhoc)
- Forecasting/ Budgeting
- Journal posting
Cost Management:
- Monitoring and controlling costs to ensure they align with budgets.
- Conducting cost-benefit analyses and identifying areas for cost reduction.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Developing and maintaining annual budgets and long-term financial forecasts.
- Collaborating with department heads to ensure accurate budget preparation.
- Tracking performance against budgets and revising forecasts as needed.
Financial Planning:
- Assisting in strategic planning by providing financial projections and scenario analyses.
- Evaluating the financial impact of potential business decisions and investments.
Performance Management:
- Developing key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor organizational performance.
- Providing regular performance reports and recommending actions to improve efficiency.
Risk Management:
- Identifying financial risks and developing strategies to mitigate them.
- Ensuring compliance with financial regulations and internal policies.
Internal Controls and Auditing:
- Establishing and maintaining internal controls to safeguard company assets.
- Conducting internal audits to ensure financial accuracy and compliance.
Support to Operational Management:
- Acting as a financial advisor to operational managers, helping them understand financial implications of their actions.
- Providing financial training and support to non-financial managers.
Data Management:
- Ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data in the company's information systems.
- Implementing and using financial software and tools for data analysis and reporting.
Project Management:
- Supporting financial aspects of projects, including cost estimation, budgeting, and tracking.
- Analyzing financial viability and profitability of projects.
Strategic Recommendations:
- Offering strategic recommendations to senior management based on financial data and market trends.
- Participating in decision-making processes regarding investments, mergers, acquisitions, and other major financial decisions.
Communication and Presentation:
- Presenting financial reports and analysis to senior management, stakeholders, and board members.
- Communicating complex financial information in a clear and concise manner.
Key Skills/ Experience required for the Management Accountant:
- SAP Knowledge/ experience
- Previous experience as a Management Accountant (2 years minimum) essential
- ACCA/ ACA/ CIMA would be desirable
