Maintenance Technician

We are currently recruiting a Maintenance Technician for our Kings Cliffe based client.

The Maintenance Technician reports to the Operations Manager, you will be required to work on a maintenance programme that covers all areas of the park, accommodation, reception, laundry and maintenance area in line with agreed operating standards and benchmarks.

  • Respond to maintenance issues in a timely manner resolving efficiently, safely and to a high standard.
  • Ensuring all areas are always clean and tidy during maintenance work.
  • You will be required to go on call, for out-of-hours phone calls and requests.
  • You will be working 5/7 this includes weekends and bank holidays.

Essential Functions

  • General Park maintenance.
  • Carry out repairs and restructure drains/groundwork/buildings.
  • Carry out repairs to equipment in accommodation units in line with the job requests to the agreed operating standards.
  • Distribute deliveries from a central point to the relevant department.
  • Collection of rubbish and litter/bins, depositing it in the nearest refuse compound, including litter picking the park as and when required.
  • Co-operate with external Contractors when required to ensure smooth running of the park.
  • Grass cutting and General Grounds maintenance including planting and weeding.
  • Cleaning the outside of lodges and decking.
  • Hot tub cleaning
  • Hot tub water testing.
  • Talking to the customer in person or over the phone.
  • Decision-Making Authority Makes decisions based on company policies and procedures.
  • Discusses and refers unresolved issues with the Maintenance Manager, there will be times when you are the main contact for the customer and expected to decide on the spot for the benefit of the customer and the company.

Knowledge/Educational Requirements

  • Have experience and a good understanding of maintenance duties.
  • Have a strong understanding of landscaping and gardening work.
  • Be able to provide excellent face-to-face and over-the-phone customer service.

  • Working Relationships Internal Contacts This position interacts on a regular basis with all levels and departments within the Company.
  • External Contacts This position interacts daily with, all Rockingham Forest Park customers.
  • Hours of Work - 5/7, 8 am to 5 pm plus overtime
  • On Call Rota 1 in 5 weekends and one weekend on call as backup.
  • Salary - £12.50 per hour
  • On call - £15
  • On call, call out £17 per hour
