About the Role:
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be instrumental in providing essential support to students with a range of special educational needs. Working closely with teachers and other staff, you will help to create a positive, nurturing learning environment where all students can succeed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with SEN, ensuring their academic and emotional needs are met.
- Assist with the development and implementation of individual education plans (IEPs).
- Promote positive behaviour and social interactions, supporting students with emotional and behavioural challenges.
- Help students with personal care tasks, where required, ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the day.
- Collaborate with teachers and other staff to monitor and assess student progress.
To be considered for this position you will:
- have previous school experience and be familiar with the SIMS system
- Be a committed professional
- Be an organised, enthusiastic proactive person
-Hold a child workforce enhanced DBS certificate which is on the update service, or be willing to apply for a new one (costs refunded back to you when you complete 20 days work)
-have satisfactory references
-have a CV must that covers the last 10 years of employment history where possible and any gaps in employment must be explained;
- Have the legal right to work in the UK.
