CRM Students is dedicated to providing high-quality student accommodation that offers a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment. We are seeking a Assistant Accommodation Manager to join our Exeter team, offering crucial support during a busy period.

Role Overview:

As an Assistant Accommodation Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring our students and visitors feel at home, and our sites are well-maintained and safe. Working closely with the Accommodation Manager, you will assist in day-to-day operations, help manage tenant queries, and ensure that our accommodation services meet the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Welcoming Environment:

Create and maintain a warm, welcoming atmosphere for students, parents, and visitors at our sites.

  • Support & Coverage:

Provide general support to the Accommodation Manager and cover their duties in their absence.

  • Tenant Liaison:

Work with the Accommodation Manager to respond to tenant queries and address maintenance issues throughout the academic year.

  • Safety & Compliance:

Assist in ensuring that the accommodation sites are safe environments, conducting routine inspections, and updating our web-based safety management system.

  • Budget Management:

Help manage site operations within a set budget.

  • Marketing & Lettings:

Support the marketing, lettings, and promotion of the accommodation to maintain high occupancy levels.

  • Inspections:

Conduct regular inspections of flats and communal areas to ensure standards are met.

  • Supplier Relations:

Establish and develop working relationships with suppliers and contractors to support site operations.

  • Team Support:

Provide support to the site team, contributing to a positive and collaborative working environment.

  • Emergency Response:

Participate in the out-of-hours rota to handle emergencies as needed.

  • Standards Compliance:

Support the site's compliance with the ANUK National Code of Standards.

  • University Relations:

Work with the University accommodation team to deliver a high-quality service, including attending regular meetings with relevant university staff.

  • Experience in managing budgets and working with contractors.
  • Ability to handle emergency situations calmly and effectively.
