R&D Engineer (Valve Manufacturing)
Location: Brighouse, West Yorkshire
Salary: Up to £33k (DOE) + Excellent Benefits
Working Hours: 38.5 hours per week
The Client:
Our client is a well-established manufacturing firm, specialising in providing valves for the oil and gas sector.
The Role:
As a R&D Engineer, you will directly report to the Engineering Manager and oversee all facets of R&D engineering output.
Responsibilities:
- Develop new products, including prototype testing.
- Update existing products for enhanced performance.
- Execute value engineering projects.
- Manage Bill of Materials using Syspro.
- Create detailed and general arrangement drawings with Autodesk Inventor.
- Conduct design reporting to meet code requirements.
- Provide shop floor support.
- Develop test rigs and assembly procedures, including tooling needs.
- Formulate and refine test procedures.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working in a similar role.
- At least 2 years of experience in the valve Industry.
- Familiarity with Autodesk Inventor (3D) and Auto Cad (2D), or other CAD system.
- HNC / HND qualification in Mechanical Engineering.
- Understanding of valve design codes.
- Skilled in Microsoft Office.
- Practical problem-solving skills and hands-on capability.
Shifts:
- Monday - Thursday: 8:00am - 4:45pm
- Friday: 8:00am - 1:30pm
