Robertson Bell is partnering with this not-for-profit organisation as they go to market for an Accounts Receivable Team Leader on a permanent basis. This presents an exceptional opportunity for a seasoned invoicing professional eager to embrace leadership roles and expand their managerial expertise.

In this Accounts Receivable Team Leader position, you will:

  • Lead and mentor a team of three Accounts Receivable specialists, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure efficient and accurate processing of receivables.
  • Implement and maintain best practices in Accounts Receivable processes, including invoicing, billing, collections, and reconciliations, to optimise cash flow and minimise outstanding balances.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to track team performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement strategies to enhance productivity and effectiveness.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for escalated client queries, demonstrating strong communication and problem-solving skills to address concerns promptly and effectively, while maintaining positive client relationships and upholding the organisation's reputation.
  • Manage client accounts proactively, engaging in regular communication to ensure accurate invoicing, timely payments, and resolution of any billing discrepancies or disputes, fostering trust and long-term partnerships.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Hold an AAT certification, an accounting degree, or be qualified by experience.
  • Have a proven ability to handle client queries, particularly related to invoicing; any invoicing-related experience should demonstrate client management skills.
  • Be ready to step up into a managerial position.
  • Have familiarity with reconciling accounts and verifying funds and a minimum of three years' experience in invoicing and Accounts Receivable tasks, with a varied background being acceptable.
  • Be an effective communicator, both written and verbal.
