Job Title: HR Product Owner
Duration: 6 months contract, extensions likely
Location: Halifax/Hybrid (twice per week in the office)
Salary: £625 per day via Umbrella

Are you ready to take ownership and drive the implementation of an exciting new HR shared services model for our client, a leading organisation in the banking industry? We are seeking a dynamic and experienced HR Product Owner to join their team!
You will be responsible for managing the product backlog, overseeing the release of incremental value, and ensuring the team focuses on the right priorities, delivering value to internal customers and stakeholders. You will lead cross-functional teams, shape the product development process, and play a pivotal role in delivering a shared service model across the group.
What You'll Do:
- Own and manage the product backlog to deliver a shared service HR model
- Collaborate with Customer Journey Managers to analyse user stories and drive customer journey improvements
- Shape the product vision and roadmap
- Prioritise, refine, and manage the team's product backlog
- Be accountable for product change governance and business readiness activities
- Drive the development of capabilities within the functional area
- Work with Integrators to manage stakeholder relationships
- Define the segmentation and implementation strategy
- Plan and deliver the target operating model
- Take a hands-on leadership approach to focused improvement, ensuring alignment with the broader strategy
- Ensure end-to-end service assurance of critical services
What You'll Bring:
- Strong agile capabilities and the ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities
- Experience in using Jira and Confluence
- Expertise in Service Integration & Management Operating Models
- Experience managing IT Outsourced Suppliers
- Familiarity with IT technical infrastructure and architecture
- Strong influential relationship management skills
- Excellent communication capabilities, both verbal and written
- Strong problem-solving skills and an ability to break down complex business problems
- Experience working within set process design principles
