The role;

You will play a key role in supporting the company's procurement processes, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and compliance with company policies and regulations. Your day-to-day duties will include:

  • Maintaining relationships with varying stakeholders and departments throughout the business, ensuring Procurement supports their purchasing, supplier management, negotiation, and supplier risk management needs. This includes Request for Proposal preparation support, tender review, contract review, supplier vetting, and a view on sustainability.
  • Supporting success of ongoing procurement projects that repeat annually, policy review, training and development of tools. Help with external reports such as Modern Slavery, and Sustainability report, and ensure that internal and external website procurement areas are effectively managed and kept up to date to ensure the business is educated of Procurement activities and supply chain risks.
  • Support education needs for the business through maintaining the procurement hub and associated documents.
  • Maintenance of spend and contract tracker and contract repository, ensuring all contracts are properly reviewed with a procurement lens.
  • Working closely with the wider finance team on spending and transaction analysis, ensuring the business are aware of supplier activity, spend leakage and non-compliance with policies. Maintenance and publication of procurement reports to necessary stakeholders on spend and transaction.
  • Maintaining healthy relationships with key suppliers delivering continuous program support - Access, IT and tech providers.

Desirable skills include;

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, written and verbal.
  • Experience in a purchasing, procurement or supply chain role.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong understanding of procurement processes and best practices.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
