Mobile ICT Technician
Location: Ixworth/Beccles
Salary: £24,294 - £28,770 per annum (FTE)
Our client was established in 2016 with the purpose of bringing like-minded schools together to work in partnership to deliver a world class education to pupils in Norfolk and Suffolk.
The Role
The Education Trust are looking to appoint a motivated and enthusiastic ICT Mobile Technician on a permanent basis to provide 2 days' ICT support to secondary schools at Ixworth and Beccles and 1 day's support to a primary school in Felixstowe every week.
As this role will involve a significant amount of travel, a company vehicle will be provided. The role can be based at either of the Secondary schools and will be decided by negotiation with the successful candidate.

Skills and Qualifications
The professional competencies expected of an ICT Technician are:
- A full UK driving licence is required.
- Have excellent communication skills in person and in writing.
- Be interested in pursuing IT support as a career.
- Be motivated, enquiring, inquisitive and able to work unsupervised.
- Have an analytical approach; to problem-solving.
- Have a drive to learn about all aspects of IT, including audio/visual equipment.
- Be a flexible and enthusiastic team player.
- Be adaptable and resilient in managing and executing their daily responsibilities.
- Have experience in or be willing to quickly learn about the school's management systems and their role in GDPR
The qualifications and previous experience required for an ICT Technician are:
- A good level of literacy and numeracy.
- Have A-Level in a related subject (e.g., Computer Studies, Computing, ICT etc., or equivalent experience).
- Be familiar with IT systems and familiar with the Microsoft Windows 11, Office 365, Windows server and network environment.
- Have experience in website maintenance (desirable).
- Experience in software and hardware installation.
- Experience of working in an education environment (essential).
