They cater to secondary age pupils with ASD, ADHD, SEMH and trauma based needs, As all of their pupils require bespoke learning, they are seeking a highly experienced SEN PE Teacher to join their team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach the full PE curriculum to secondary age pupils with sensory, emotional and behavioural needs.
- Adapt teaching methods to accommodate individual learning styles and abilities.
- Work with pupils who have SEN needs, providing inclusive coaching and teaching of sports for people with disabilities.
- Foster a positive and engaging learning environment, ensuring all pupils can participate in physical activities.
- Collaborate with the SEN team to create personalised learning plans for each student.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback and support.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with substantial experience in SEN settings.
- Strong SEN background with the ability to engage effectively with pupils with diverse needs.
- Experience in coaching/teaching sports for individuals with educational needs
-Adaptability and creativity in lesson planning to meet the needs of all students.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
