Job Title: Credit Controller

About Us:
They are a dynamic and rapidly growing independent site investigation consultant and contractor, recognised as a leader in the construction industry. Specialising in the assessment and investigation of previously developed (potentially contaminated) land and Greenfield sites, they provide comprehensive services across contaminated land, civil engineering, geotechnical engineering, ground engineering, and engineering geology.
Role Overview:
They are seeking an experienced Credit Controller to join their finance team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing the company's credit and collections processes, ensuring the timely receipt of payments and maintaining positive relationships with clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the credit control process, ensuring timely collection of outstanding invoices
- Monitor debtor balances and proactively follow up on overdue accounts
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all credit transactions
- Liaise with clients to resolve payment queries and disputes
- Assess creditworthiness of new and existing clients
- Prepare regular reports on debtor balances and collection performance
- Collaborate with the finance team to streamline and improve credit control processes
Requirements:
- Proficient in using QuickBooks for financial management or willingness to learn
- Strong analytical and numerical skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Good problem-solving skills and a proactive approach
