We are passionate about delivering high-quality care to children with communication challenges and are seeking a skilled professional to join our team.

Job Role
As a Speech and Language Therapist, you will work with SEN Secondary students who have Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD), Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), Autism, and other associated learning difficulties. Some students also have additional needs such as Dyslexia and ADHD. Your role will be to develop tailored therapy programs, using creative and imaginative methods to communicate and build rapport with the children.

Key Responsibilities of a Speech and Language Therapist.

  • Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders.
  • Design and implement individualized therapy plans.
  • Monitor and evaluate children's progress, adjusting treatments as needed.
  • Provide training and support to enhance communication abilities.
  • Maintain detailed records of assessments and progress reports.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest research and techniques in speech and language therapy.

Requirements of the Speech and Language Therapist.

  • Qualifications in Speech and Language Therapy (or equivalent).
  • Experience with Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs).
  • Experience working with children having communication difficulties.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Empathy, patience, and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with a range of speech and language therapy tools and technologies is a plus.
