Our client are an established manufacturing with an established client base and a vision for new product development.
They seek an accounts assistant to join the team to support management accounts production and manage financial transactions. You will have your own portfolio of work with the opportunity to develop your management accounting skills.
This is a full time, permanent role and will be office based. Key responsibilities as follows:
- Processing incoming Purchase Orders and producing a sales acknowledgement for the customer
- Processing sales invoices from delivery shipments.
- Credit control, including management of accounts receivable ledger, chasing outstanding debtors and answering customer queries. Report and escalate to the Finance Director as required.
- Supporting the preparation of the monthly management reports for the sales ledger, reporting to the Finance Director
- Assist Sales Team with raising on testing and other ad-hoc invoice requests
- Invoices and statements filing
- Monthly supplier statement reconciliations
- Supporting the weekly payment run process
- Forecast cash incoming and reporting variances to the Finance Director
The role requires a skilled accountant who can work independently and is keen to develop their management accounting skills with further support. You will need a strong systems knowledge and ideally previous experience of an ERP system. Experience in manufacturing is advantageous but not essential.
