JOB TITLE: Communications Manager
LOCATION: Melksham
SALARY: £45,000 - £65,000, 12 month fixed term contract
WAY OF WORKING: 36.5 hours per week, Monday to Thursday 08.30 - 5 and Friday's 08.30 - 4
THE BUSINESS:
C4S Search are pleased to be partnering with a specialist in the engineering and manufacturing of respiratory protection equipment for military, law enforcement and fire personnel.
THE COMMUNICATIONS MANAGER OPPORTUNITY:
- Create local news and content for town hall sessions, strategy drop-in sessions, communication packs, and group newsletters.
- Continuously develop SharePoint for sharing information across the Avon Protection brand.
- Support recognition and reward programs.
- Manage internal communication channels, including digital shop floor screens.
- Collaborate with HR teams to deliver employee engagement initiatives, such as global and local engagement surveys and onboarding new employees.
- Implement social initiatives, community programs, diversity and inclusion programs, and Learning & Development training programs.
- Design and create communication materials to support internal campaigns in alignment with the corporate team.
- Partner with the Corporate Communications team to shape our internal communications strategy, contributing ideas based on understanding, feedback, research, and best practices.
- Develop a consistent brand voice and maintain brand integrity across all platforms.
- Work with the Marketing Manager to develop and execute external communication strategies.
YOUR KEY SKILLS:
- Extensive knowledge and expertise in communications technologies.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent (CIPR) in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.
- Proven track record in internal communications, media relations, and crisis communications.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- At least 5 years of experience in a communications role.
- Creative and innovative thinking.
- Proficiency in using social media management tools and analytics.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Positive and proactive attitude when addressing challenges.
- Experience working in an international environment across various time zones and cultures.
