The Role:
We are currently seeking a dedicated and resilient Challenging Behaviour Specialist Teaching Assistant to join a dynamic school environment. You will work closely with students who require additional support due to behavioural and emotional challenges. This role is perfect for someone with a calm, patient, and proactive approach, who is ready to create a positive impact and help students thrive.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting students with challenging behaviour in a classroom setting or one-on-one.
- Assisting the class teacher in developing and implementing behaviour management plans.
- Creating a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students.
- Encouraging positive social interactions and engagement with learning.
- Monitoring and reporting progress to the class teacher and other professionals.
Requirements:
- Experience working with children or young people with challenging behaviour.
- A calm and patient demeanour, with the ability to build strong relationships with students.
- Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification) are desirable but not essential.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
