We are looking for a dedicated and customer-focused Truck Service Advisor to join our team.

Role Overview

We are seeking a proactive and experienced Truck Service Advisor to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be the vital link between our customers and the service department, ensuring a seamless and efficient service experience.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Experience

  • Greet customers in a professional and helpful manger and ascertain their service needs.
  • Provide accurate information regarding services, costs and timelines.
  • Maintain regular communication with customers about the status of their vehicles.
  • Advise customers of any additional work that needs to be carried to ensure their agreement is obtained, prior to any additional repairs commencing. Obtain an order number if needed.
  • Manage the vehicle handover to the customer, explaining what work has been carried.
  • Address and resolve customer queries and concerns promptly.
  • Follow-up and re-book any "no-show" customers or when parts have arrived and are ready to be fitted.

Service Coordination

  • Schedule service and maintenance appointments, ensuring the full booking potential of the workshop.
  • Prepare job cards and service reports.
  • Liaise with the service technicians to ensure timely and efficient completion of work.
  • Keep the workshop loading system up to date, identifying the method of payment and raising job cards and paperwork as required.
  • To make bookings for courtesy vehicles and ensure that accurate records are kept regarding their usage.

Billing and Administration

  • Prepare and provide estimates for service and repair work.
  • Manage and process customer invoices.
  • Handle payment transactions and ensure accurate record-keeping
  • Ensure cash payments are clearly marked and that customer jobs are clearly marked. Payment must be received prior to the vehicle being released.
  • Assist with service administration.
  • Maintain accurate records of service history, parts inventory, and customer information.
  • Assist with warranty claims.

Experience & Qualifications

  • GCSEs or equivalent, with a focus on Maths and English.
  • Proven experience as a service advisor or in a similar customer service role.
  • Familiarity with automotive software systems and databases.
  • Basic understanding of vehicle diagnostics and repair procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
