Join our dedicated team located in Kirklees, where we are seeking a versatile KS1 PPA Cover Teacher to provide cover across all age groups within Key Stage 1. This is a full-time day-to-day position starting in September 2024 and continuing until December 2024.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Cover Teaching:Deliver high-quality teaching and learning experiences across Key Stage 1, covering classes in the absence of the regular class teacher and following pre-prepared lesson plans and resources.
  • Adaptability: Adapt quickly to different year groups, classrooms, and teaching styles, ensuring continuity and consistency in learning for students while maintaining a positive and supportive classroom environment.
  • Differentiated Instruction: Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs and abilities of students, providing appropriate support and challenge to ensure all learners can access the curriculum and make progress.
  • Assessment and Feedback: Support ongoing assessment and feedback processes, providing input on student progress and performance to the regular class teachers and contributing to the overall assessment and reporting cycle.
  • Behaviour Management: Establish clear expectations for behavior and conduct within the classroom, maintaining a positive and inclusive learning environment where mutual respect and cooperation are valued.

Requirements:

  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one) is essential.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and experience teaching in a primary school setting, preferably with experience across Key Stage 1.
  • Excellent knowledge of the Key Stage 1 curriculum and effective teaching strategies, with the ability to engage and motivate students of varying abilities.
