We are delighted to be able to offer this permanent position as a Payroll Manager to an expanding company based in County Durham. We are looking for a candidate who would be able to be flexible with the hours they work between the hours of 8.00am-5.30pm Monday to Friday.
With the capacity to work 20 hours per week for 2 weeks of the month and be able to flex up to 40 hours in order to have the time to process payroll with in the deadline window of the month end.
Duties Include:
- Processing payroll for staff on annual salaries and weekly timesheets
- Monitoring and calculating statutory payments
- Actioning end processes such as P60, P11D's
- Processing holiday entitlements and accruals
- Streamlining payroll processes
- Pensions
- Processing of expenses
- Administration of health schemes, and benefits, company cars, etc.
- Monitoring of Apprenticeship Levy
- Monitoring of tips payments and processes
- Implementing new standard operating procedures and training staff when needed
- Other administrative duties within the finance department such as managing the pool cars, renewals and mortgage references
Desired Experience:
- Experience of processing payroll on a large scale with weekly timesheets and monthly pay is highly desirable
- Previous experience adhering to HMRC processes and regulations is advantageous
- Familiarity with variable overtime and different shift premiums, processing of different hourly rates would be beneficial
- Experience of implementing processes that streamline tasks and improve efficiency of the payroll process would be preferable
