First Achieve's Engineering Division have an excellent opportunity for a Fabricator Welder to join an established and growing company in the Fife region. Our client is an international defence manufacturer.
What's on Offer:
- Temp (probation) to perm after 12 weeks
- Paying £18 per hour while under temp (probation) through agency
- Paying circa £16 per hour once permanent
- 39hr work week
- 4.5 day work week
- 7am to 4pm Mon to Thurs and 7am to 1pm Fri
- OT 1.5x
This role will report directly to the Workshop Manager, manufacturing defence based components.
Duties will involve the following:
- fabrication and welding of components in a workshop
- reading design and assembly drawings
- making use of power tools
Essential skills, experience and knowledge:
The successful candidate must have:
- experience of MIG and TIG
- experience working with mild and stainless steel
- if you have experience with aluminium, that is a pro
- experience rolling, bending and cutting steel
- experience operating in a workshop environment
- experience of reading engineering drawings
