Marketing Manager

Hays are recruiting a Marketing Manager in Belfast on behalf of a leading energy provider.

Your new role
As Marketing Manager, you will lead the strategic development and implementation of brand and customer marketing plans, which will support the sales and brand objectives of the business. You will have a key role in the identification and conversion of new customer connections through targeted external communications. Responsibilities include:

  • Managing and executing the marketing plan in line with the marketing objectives and strategy defined by the business and also within the agreed budget allocation.
  • Responsible for budget control on a per-project basis and maximising cost savings with suppliers and other third parties
  • Managing the lead generation process through the most appropriate and cost-effective marketing channels in the domestic owner-occupier sector.
  • Principal management and execution of the direct marketing activity for the owner-occupier sector to leverage lead levels and cost-effectiveness
  • Managing the alignment of the marketing function with the retail operation function to ensure synergy in the overall marketing mix to prospective owner-occupier acquisition
  • Manage and oversee the development of the Company's Website.
  • Management and implementation of the digital marketing strategy to stimulate new interest and drive traffic to the website and maximise conversion potential
  • Managing/co-ordinating and fostering supplier relationships to deliver cost-effective creative solutions to the marketing proposition
  • Provide marketing information statistics and support information in relation to activities executed. Performance campaign information for evaluation and cost evaluation
  • Management of market research to enhance the overall understanding of target markets and inform communication strategy
  • Organise exhibition displays and major launch activities as required in order to support and develop the marketing strategy, whilst being cost-effective, ensuring the exhibitions promote the desired company image and achieve the appropriate business results.
  • Support the collection and maintenance of the company's corporate database, ensuring that the database is compliant with current GDPR requirements
  • Support in the management of the Marketing Executive
  • Manage appointed agencies to maximise their effectiveness in producing timely effective marketing solutions in a cost-effective manner.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Educated to degree level in a marketing or business-related discipline or equivalent professional experience to include a relevant marketing qualification / accreditation.
  • Minimum of three years' experience in a marketing position.
  • Experience as a budget holder for a departmental budget.
  • Strong analytical and project management skills.
  • Ability to demonstrate sound creative judgement.
  • Experience of effectively managing external partners.

Desirable:

  • Experience of working in a small flexible marketing department
  • Strong creative outlook.
  • Excellent communications and IT skills.
  • Strong influencing and negotiation skills.
