I have partnered with a dynamic magazine publishing and event organising company, operating across various market sectors dealing with top blue-chip companies within the respective market sectors. They are seeking a motivated Business Development Manager to join the team due to internal promotions.
This role offers the opportunity to work with leading global trade and consumer magazines, as well as to be involved in the organisation of exhibitions and awards dinners.
Day to Day of the role for the Business Development Manager:
- Drive sales and business development for specific magazines within the company's portfolio.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients, including top blue-chip companies.
- Work collaboratively with the editorial and marketing teams to create compelling sales strategies.
- Attend industry events, exhibitions, and awards dinners to network and promote the company's products.
- Engage in overseas travel as required to meet clients and attend international events.
- Contribute to the growth and success of the company by meeting and exceeding sales targets.
Required Skills & Qualifications for the Business Development Manager:
- Proven sales experience, preferably in publishing, events, or a related field.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Willingness to travel overseas as part of the role.
- A results-driven approach with a hunger to succeed.
- Previous experience working within blue chip industry is handy!
