We are currently working in partnership with a Housing Association based in South Manchester, who are recruiting for a Management Accountant on a temporary 2-month contract, with the possibility of extension.
This is a full time position and is due to start immediately. Offering an hourly rate of £29.14 PAYE or £33.50 UMB, travel will be required to the office two days per week.
The ideal candidate will have development accounting experience and ideally a background in social housing.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
- Advising and training budget holders for financial understanding and budgetary control
- Preparing routine journals and ensuring management accounts accurately report income and expenditure
- Ensuring the balance sheets accurately record assets and liabilities
- Preparing working papers for statutory and regulatory return
- Challenging the budget holders on overspends and poor financial performance
Experience required:
- AAT qualification is preferable
- Experience with developmental accounting
