This role of a Finance Officer entails overseeing and managing all service charge related financial matters within the property sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring accuracy, compliance and efficient operation of service charge budgets and expenditure.

Description

Your key responsibilities will be:

  • Responsible for administering the service charge cycle for the Group's customers..
  • Work within the team to monitor and calculate actual service charge costs, ensuring information to customers is accurate and clear
  • Calculate service charge estimates and ensure customers understand why costs have increased/decreased for the coming year
  • Ensuring that the charges are correct and relevant, in line with the various legal contracts
  • Liaise with other departments to obtain accurate information regarding new schemes or services and ensuring their legality
  • Sinking fund management
  • Be aware of all relevant legislation such as the Leasehold Reform Act, Data Protection, Health and Safety

Profile

Successful candidate will need:

  • Experience of service charge setting in a complex business environment
  • Proven experience in a similar role within the property industry
  • Ability to achieve deadlines in a pressurised environment
  • Able to adjust to new business environments, be a fast learner and work with a broad range of staff in a wide-ranging business and culture.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills to enable operating within an organisation of different businesses.
  • Self-motivated and value-driven individual, committed to delivering excellent services for the customer
  • Competent with MS Office
