Due to a period of maternity leave, there is a gap within the finance team for an enthusiastic Finance Assistant to complete a 12-month contract that has the potential to be extended due to the nature of their business and how busy they are.

Responsibilities:

  • Handle all day-to-day administration tasks for the finance function
  • Undertake purchase ledger activity which includes raising payments, reconciling accounts, and posting invoices to the ledger
  • Raise sales invoices and carry out sales ledger-related administration, which involves filing invoices and handling incoming mail
  • Produce finance reports for the Finance Team Supervisor to be used by the wider business and senior team
  • Input financial data to the CRM database, ensuring all information is recorded accurately and compliant
  • Effectively communicate with the wider business regarding general finance matters

Skills and Experience:

  • Previous experience either as a Finance Assistant, Accounts Assistant, Assistant Accountant, or even an Administrator who has a bias towards accounts administration
  • An understanding of financial administration processes with particular knowledge of purchase ledger and year-end reporting
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office packages and accounting software
  • Excellent time management and organisation skills
  • A keen eye for detail with the ability to accurately input data, and a positive attitude
