Junior Merchandiser

Excited to announce I am working with a returning client of mine. A globally recognised, digitally native children's wear brand known for its high-quality materials and craftsmanship. As a Junior Merchandiser, you will play a crucial role in driving the performance of our product range, managing assortments, tracking sales, analysing stock levels, and ensuring timely product delivery. This position is ideal for someone with strong analytical skills, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and effective communication abilities.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Manage product assortments, track sales, analyse stock levels, and ensure timely product delivery in line with the critical path.
- Run and update Monday morning reports, maintain and update line cards, and propose trading actions to the Merchandiser and Head of Product.
- Update the WSSI/OTB tracker within specified time frames and deliver strategic actions.
- Perform ad hoc analysis as required by the Merchandiser or wider business.
- Carry out in-season reviews, offer recommendations, and reforecast in-season performance to maximise profit.
- Work closely with Ecommerce and Retail teams to support availability and resolve potential issues.
- Deliver seasonal markdown actions across key sale periods.
- Monitor product performance, sales trends, and customer feedback to identify opportunities for improvement within your ranges.
- Update range plans, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information is shared with the wider business.
- Manage the supply base to meet business needs through clear communication and strong relationships.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Advanced Excel skills with a strong ability to manipulate data and produce accurate reports.
- Highly numerate and analytical with excellent communication skills.
- Experience leading a team and running a department at the Junior Merchandiser level.
- Ability to work in a changing environment positively and helpfully.
- Strong relationship-building skills across multiple departments both internally and externally.
- Commercial acumen with a product affinity.
- Ability to manage multiple and competing work priorities, demands, and changes.
- Conversational Spanish is advantageous but not required.
