Teacher of Music and Drama Location: Selby, North Yorkshire Start date: October 2024 Contract: Full Time, Maternity Cover Salary: MPS/UPS; £30,000 - £46,525 per annum

What we are looking for:
- A forward-thinking professional who can motivate students by stoking their enthusiasm for drama and music.
- Has Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Possesses a Degree in Music, Drama, Performing Arts, or a related field.
- Has proven experience teaching Music and Drama at Key Stage 3 and GCSE level.
- Key Stage 4 offers a vocational course, therefore familiarity with the BTEC curriculum and evaluation would be beneficial.
- Hold an Enhanced DBS registered to the update service or be willing to apply for one through GSL Education. DBS sponsorship is available for this position.
Responsibilities will include:
- Teach Music and Drama at Key Stage 3 and Music at Key Stage 4.
- Create sequences of lessons that progressively build students' skills and knowledge in both subjects.
- Continuous contribution to the performing arts team and the school as a whole.
- Identify and address diverse learning needs, providing additional support or enrichment opportunities.
- Oversee school productions, concerts, and performances, including annual plays, musicals, and recitals.
- Lead extracurricular activities, such as music ensembles, drama clubs, and workshops, to enhance students' learning experiences.
