We are seeking an HR Business Partner to support our leadership team during a period of maternity leave. The successful candidate will be instrumental in aligning our People strategy with the objectives of individual teams and the wider organisation. As an HRBP, you will champion our HEARTS values and leadership behaviours, providing visible and credible support to department heads and the Club's leadership team.

Day to Day of the role:

  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with the leadership team and Heads of Department (HODs), focusing on how the Club's People Strategy drives department performance.
  • Understand and contribute to the Club's strategy and People Strategy, aligning departmental people plans accordingly.
  • Provide coaching and advice on Employee Relations (ER) matters, ensuring proactive early intervention and manager training.
  • Oversee the Club's internal performance management process, coaching others and championing meaningful career conversations.
  • Take charge of talent and succession planning, recruitment, induction, and onboarding in partnership with Heads of Department.
  • Design and deliver HR KPIs that are meaningful to business areas and aligned with HRBP colleagues.
  • Act as a role model, exhibiting the Club values and leadership behaviours within departments.
  • Deliver central HR initiatives and provide feedback to better align initiatives with Club needs.
  • Develop and implement HR-led change propositions and support Club-led change initiatives from an HR perspective.
  • Coach managers on the appropriate use of overtime, agency, and casual staff, addressing structural issues.
  • Support wellbeing initiatives and occupational health management referrals, ensuring communication to designated departments.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as an HR Business Partner or similar role.
  • Strong understanding of HR strategies and their alignment with business objectives.
  • Expertise in performance management and employee relations.
  • Experience in talent management, succession planning, and recruitment.
  • Ability to design and interpret HR KPIs and data.
  • Excellent communication and coaching skills.
  • Ability to act as a role model for company values and leadership behaviours.
  • Knowledge of payroll management and occupational health initiatives.
