Do you have Materials and Colour Designer experience, and are you seeking a new job in Gaydon? Jonathan Lee Recruitment is looking for a full-time Materiality Designer, and the contract role comes with an Umbrella rate of £39.15 per hour (Inside IR35).
As a Materiality Designer, you will be responsible for creating and realising innovative proof of concepts and material solutions for both interior and exterior applications from concept through to production and beyond. You will also be delivering a sustainability-rich reimagination of modern luxury, unique customer experiences, and positive societal impact.
As a Materiality Designer, you will be responsible for:
- Delivering more sustainable and responsible material initiatives and methods
- Researching trends, consumer insights and competitor benchmarking
- Helping create material strategies for future implementation
- Designing, developing and implementing colour and material design proposals for concepts and design vision properties.
To apply for this Materiality Designer role, your soft skills, expertise and experience should include:
- Design software competency - Photoshop or Illustrator
- A good understanding of materials and colour, the design industry and luxury brands combined with good aesthetic judgement, colour vision and colour perception
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop, Illustrator and Indesign
- Proven creative presentation skills with the ability to use internet resources appropriately for research purposes.
- Passion for Colour and Material Technology and Design as evidenced by up to date in field literature, innovations and trends.
- Relevant degree level qualification - BA or equivalent in Textile, Fashion, Graphics, Product, Automotive Design or similar
You'll receive an excellent contract per-hour rate of £39.15 in return for your knowledge, expertise and flexibility.
