Salary: £38,500
Responsibilities:
- Set up and programme CNC machines
- Work with tight tolerances and interpret technical drawings.
- Utilise a wide range of measuring equipment to ensure accuracy and quality in the machining process.
- Complete all processes in accordance with Risk Assessments and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Perform setting and operating duties within target times.
- Read and edit existing CNC programmes to optimise output and quality.
- Monitor tooling for wear, adjust offsets, or replace as necessary.
- Ensure all inspection requirements are completed in line with Control Plan instructions.
- Identify and report non-conforming components, following the relevant SOP.
- Accurately complete all system transactions related to the job role.
- Maintain and promote a high standard of housekeeping at all times.
- Perform pre-shift and maintenance checks as required.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a CNC Turner, with expertise in setting and programming
- Strong knowledge of working to tight tolerances and interpreting technical drawings.
- Proficiency in using a wide range of measuring equipment.
- Familiarity with Risk Assessments, SOPs, and Control Plans.
- Attention to detail and a strong focus on quality and accuracy.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and the capability to make adjustments as necessary.
- Excellent team player with strong communication skills.
