Accounts Assistant

Based in the Northwest of England and servicing the whole of the UK and Republic of Ireland. Our client has designed and built Commercial Solar PV Systems for self-consumption since 2008.

The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of accounting processes, controls and will be able to work flexibly.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Posting invoices and receipts
  • Supplier statement reconciliations
  • Allocation of payments
  • Credit Control
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Raising sales invoices
  • Posting banks transactions
  • Monitor the shared mailboxes
  • Ensure POs approved, coded and raised in a timely manner
  • Assisting to ensure the correct VAT has been applied to transactions
  • Ensure agreed payment terms are adhered to
  • Managing employee expense claims
  • Assist in the development of new procedures
  • Ad hoc duties

Required Skills and Experience:

  • 2-4 years' experience within a finance role
  • Familiar with CIS, reverse VAT and sub-contractor payments
  • Experience with Sage Accounting Software
  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Excel
  • Adaptable and flexible
  • Positive can-do attitude with an enthusiastic approach
  • Excellent attention to detail

Salary and Benefits:

  • 26 - 28k per annum
  • 37.5 hours weekly with flexible hours to meet the needs of the business
