We are looking for someone with many years working in digital and marketing technologies as an Architect, especially Content Management Systems (AEM, Drupal, WordPress), Adobe Marketing Cloud, Adobe Experience Platform and other key marketing technologies. We will be especially interested in architects with experience running CMS for multiple brands and handling multi-million visitors per month.

Role description

  • Applies business requirements and knowledge of software development lifecycles to design, produce and guide the development of complex software products or customer solutions.
  • Demonstrates extensive knowledge of technologies and/or SME knowledge of a technology, advising others on design, development and implementation.
  • Advances tools and applications by producing expert code and producing the right solutions.
  • Handles own workload and promotes an inclusive and open culture.
  • Is regarded as the point of contact in their domain by showing significant depth of knowledge and expertise in software development and develops further knowledge of other domains to act on linkages and dependencies.
  • Understands how the technology /domain strategy relates to and impacts own work, supporting the implementation of strategy and culture within all work. Supports strategy definition where appropriate.
  • Develops an understanding of the market and LSEG's commercial position in it.
  • Leads the delivery of critical projects, working autonomously and with little direction; may ensure the timely completion of work from other team members, delegating work when required and mentoring others.
  • Works with architects to decompose a solution into Epics.
  • Leads design work and planning for Epics breaking them down to journeys with product owners and quality leads.
  • Adapts existing patterns to develop robust solutions.
  • Builds strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, growing own network and collaborating with other teams.
  • Communicates complex / technical information clearly and concisely in an audience appropriate format.
  • Continues to develop technology and industry expertise through certifications, professional qualifications and networking events.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Professional qualification or equivalent.
  • Significant knowledge of at least one programming language.
  • Significant experience in a software development and delivery role.
  • Strong experience of multiple development technologies and knowledge of when patterns are appropriate and solutions are anti-patterns.
  • Some experience of business and technical analysis, quality assurance, delivery management, and/or emerging technology and governance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with Business Stakeholders, Product Owners, Business Analysts to understand functional and non-functional requirements and interact with other cross-functional teams.
  • Provide strategic guidance and direction to internal teams for improving their digital marketing effectiveness.
  • Contribute to Customer's digital marketing strategies based on industry best practices.
  • Ensure team members working in the domain understand and adhere to the architecture principles, policies, and standards to produce function-specific reference architectures and solutions.
  • Manage relationships with members of Corporate Technology leadership to influence the adoption of Enterprise Architecture frameworks, standards and policies.
  • Improve relationships with vendors, regulators and industry bodies to seek and adopt industry standard methodologies in enterprise architecture and technology strategy.
  • Act as trusted advisor and leader across the wider LSEG Technology.
  • To be the lead architect to work with other architects to define the end-to-end solution & design covering all involved systems, data, integration, security.
  • Manage the quality and work throughput of a team of architects across the Corporate Technology domain to define and deliver end to end architecture solutions aligned to the strategy and roadmaps.
  • Ensure all solutions follow Corporate Technology and enterprise solution standards, align with the overall roadmap, have good quality documentation, and follow all relevant governance steps.
  • Drive and establish Centre of Excellence (CoE) for key strategic platforms in the domain, e.g. Adobe.
  • Help project team to size & estimate project implementation and identify resources and abilities needed for delivery of solution.

Skills & Experience

  • Detailed knowledge on Enterprise Architecture, Technology Strategy, Cloud and Security.
  • Detailed knowledge of operational, delivery management (including experience in a variety of delivery methodologies), business development and strategy and organisational transformation programmes.
  • Experienced in architecting, delivering and supporting of following: Adobe Experience Manager (AEM); Adobe Analytics; Adobe Target; Adobe Audience Manager; Dynamic Media and Search & Promote; Adobe Experience Platform & CDP (Customer Data Platform); Drupal; Cloud platforms like AWS and Azure.
  • Expertise and understanding in the following languages and technologies: HTML, HTML5, Java Script, XML, Java, WCM, ReactJS, AngularJS, headless CMS, services-based architecture, REST, Web analytics, content targeting.
  • Expertise and understanding of end-to-end DevOps tools and processes.
  • Knowledge of current digital marketing trends and best practices on topics such as personalisation, cross channel marketing, mobile, data-driven optimisation of experiences.
  • On-premise to Cloud migration projects Integration projects as a result of corporate acquisitions & mergers.
  • Onboarding SaaS solutions.
  • System integrations at application, data and network architecture domains.
  • Appreciation of InfoSec practices as applied in a regulated environment.
  • Deep technical acumen.<
