Accounts Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated Accounts Assistant to join our client's team in Nursling, Southampton. This role offers a variety of tasks that are crucial for supporting the Accounts team and their customers. If you have a keen eye for detail and a passion for finance, we encourage you to apply.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Posting and allocating customer payments.
  • Reconciling unallocated payments.
  • Adjusting and monitoring credit limits.
  • Managing general and personal email inboxes promptly.
  • Handling customer queries via email and phone.
  • Distributing monthly customer statements.
  • Sending copy invoices.
  • Performing credit control duties.
  • Setting up new customer accounts according to company procedures.
  • Undertaking other ad hoc duties as required.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience in a similar role is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in Excel and Word.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • High attention to detail.
  • 6-12 months experience within Accounts is essential.
  • 6-12 months experience within credit control is desirable.
  • Due to the location, reliable transport will be required.
