We are a dynamic and supportive secondary school in Flint, dedicated to promoting the physical well-being and overall development of our students. We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated PE Teacher to join our team on a half-term contract starting in September 2024.

Job Description:

As a PE Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective physical education lessons to students across Key Stages 3 and 4. You will play a crucial role in fostering a love for sports, physical activity, and healthy lifestyles among our students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality PE lessons that engage and motivate students.
  • Develop and implement a PE curriculum that meets the educational needs of students and aligns with school standards.
  • Assess and evaluate student progress, providing constructive feedback and support to help students improve their skills and fitness levels.
  • Stay up-to-date with developments in physical education, incorporating new teaching methods and sports technologies into your practice.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom and sports environment that encourages student participation, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
  • Organize and oversee extracurricular sports activities, clubs, and events.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and report to parents and school leadership as required.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of students during PE classes and school sports events.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Relevant degree in Physical Education or a related field.
  • Proven experience teaching PE at the secondary school level.
  • Strong knowledge of the national curriculum for Physical Education.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and collaboration with colleagues.
