Job Description:
As a PE Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective physical education lessons to students across Key Stages 3 and 4. You will play a crucial role in fostering a love for sports, physical activity, and healthy lifestyles among our students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality PE lessons that engage and motivate students.
- Develop and implement a PE curriculum that meets the educational needs of students and aligns with school standards.
- Assess and evaluate student progress, providing constructive feedback and support to help students improve their skills and fitness levels.
- Stay up-to-date with developments in physical education, incorporating new teaching methods and sports technologies into your practice.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom and sports environment that encourages student participation, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
- Organize and oversee extracurricular sports activities, clubs, and events.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and report to parents and school leadership as required.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of students during PE classes and school sports events.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Relevant degree in Physical Education or a related field.
- Proven experience teaching PE at the secondary school level.
- Strong knowledge of the national curriculum for Physical Education.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to inspire and motivate students.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and collaboration with colleagues.
