Civil Litigation Solicitor

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Civil Litigation Solicitor to join a small, growing, and highly rated law firm in Hertfordshire. This firm offers a comprehensive range of legal services and specialises in civil legal matters for both individual and commercial clients. Day-to-day of the role:
- Manage a range of litigation matters from initial instruction through to conclusion, including breach of contract, debt recovery, property litigation, landlord and tenant matters, partnership/shareholder disputes, consumer disputes, and professional negligence claims.
- Provide cost estimates to new clients and progress matters in line with the firm and SRA's procedures.
- Open files and ensure that all cases are handled efficiently and with the highest level of client service.
- Advise clients with a firm but fair approach, ensuring clear communication and understanding of their legal position.
- Absorb and analyse complex material, conveying it effectively to clients through excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong background in Law, with a particular focus on litigation.
- At least one year's post-qualification experience (PQE).
- Excellent analytical skills and the ability to handle complex legal issues.
- Experience in consulting and/or trial consulting.
- Familiarity with litigation support tools and technology.
- Solid commercial awareness of the legal industry.
- Familiarity with Pre-action Protocols and Civil Procedure Rules.
- Ability to establish and maintain good client relationships at all levels.
- Calm, confident manner to handle potentially uncomfortable conversations.
- Ability to work under pressure and maintain deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with strong attention to detail.
