Service Engineer / Electrical / Mechanical Engineering Technician with previous experience servicing and repairing electrical and mechanical equipment is required for a combined inhouse and field-based role for well-established and leading distributor or premium marketing & coding equipment and systems based in Kettering, Northamptonshire, East Midlands.
SALARY: £35,000 - £45,000 per annum (DOE) + Car + Benefits
LOCATION: Kettering, Northamptonshire (NN16)
50% - 70% of your time will be based in the Kettering office. The rest of the time you'll be primarily travelling to clients sites (M62 and South)
Ideally candidates should live within a commutable distance to Northamptonshire / Leicestershire / Cambridgeshire and Bedfordshire.

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Service Engineer / Electrical / Mechanical Engineering Technician with previous experience servicing and repairing electrical and mechanical equipment is required for a combined inhouse and field-based role.
Working as the Service Engineer / Electrical / Mechanical Engineering Technician you will support the company's customers (M62 and South) with onsite repairs, its sales team with installations and samples, whilst maintaining the office showroom and undertake inhouse repairs.
As the Service Engineer / Electrical / Mechanical Engineering Technician ability to read and interpret schematic diagrams and be able to work independently.
ABOUT THE COMPANY

During that time as a strong indication of their position in the market they have achieved the prestigious industry award for "Outstanding Customer Service" as well as achieving ISO14001 for environmental standards. Shortly the company will be relocating its Customer Excellence department and inhouse repair centre to Kettering, Northamptonshire as the final phase.
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
As a Service Engineer / Electrical / Mechanical Engineering Technician you will have the following skills, experience and qualifications:
- Previous service experience in manufacturing industries
- Experience of coding and marking technologies (preferred but not essential)
- Experience in a field-based role
- Ability to read and interpret schematic diagrams
- Experience in the service and repair of electrical/mechanical equipment
- Experience of installation and integration of marking and coding equipment (preferred but not essential)
- Ability to work independently with good communication skills
- Strong computer skills
- Must be able to work flexible hours including (some but rare) overnight stays
- Excellent customer facing skills
- Great team player
- Used to working within an SME environment (We are a small and dedicated UK team focused on our financial goals and customer excellence) alongside corporate structure and standards
- Degree / HND / HNC in an engineering discipline (preferred but not essential)
- Mechanical/Electrical engineering experience essential
- GCSE in English & Maths essential
